Paulinho also played for Chinese side Guangzhou, joining Barcelona for €40 million in the summer of 2017.
While he was heavily criticised during his time at Barcelona, he played a key role in the cup and league double of 2017-18 under Ernesto Valverde. The player scored nine goals and provided three assists in 49 games, and often played up front when Neymar and Ousmane Dembele were injured.
In his 19-year professional career, the veteran has also represented the Brazilian national team, making it to the 2014 and 2018 World Cups while scoring 13 goals.
