Paul Pogba is being considered as a potential transfer target for the summer by Manchester City. The player will be running down his contract with their local rivals Manchester United, and will leave as a free agent at the end of the season.

Paul Pogba could join Man Utd rivals after leaving

The 2018 World Cup winner is the most expensive transfer in the history of Manchester United. And after failing to agree to a new deal with them, he will be leaving the club after several years of being linked away with a move.

There are several clubs interested in signing Paul Pogba since he will be available for no transfer fee. Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are among the clubs that are also in the race for the player.

Pogba has played his last game with Manchester United, which was their recent defeat against Liverpool. The midfielder sustained an injury to rule him out for the remainder of the season and prematurely end his career with the Red Devils.

As a replacement for Fernandinho, Manchester City could look to sign Sporting midfielder Matheus Nunes as well. Frenkie de Jong of Barcelona was discussed we an option, but was ruled out for being too expensive.
