Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba’s B sample has tested positive for dopamine, adding to the tumultuous year he has had since returning to the Bianconeri. The Frenchman only played six Serie A games for the Bianconeri last season, after being battered by a lengthy injury which kept him out of action.
Moreover, him being targeted by extortionists which include his brother Mathias has also resulted in police investigation. And now, the doping test returning positive for Paul Pogba is yet another addition to a terrible year for the player.
Paul Pogba’s B sample tests positive for testosterone
Pogba was initially suspended after his first sample tested positive for testosterone a month ago. He was on the bench for the game against Udinese, which is when the doping test was carried out by Nado Italia.
Following the results of the doping test, Paul Pogba now risks being suspended for up to four years. He has regretfully stated that he considered retirement amidst all the chaos in his sporting career and family, but is yet to release an official statement in response to the findings of the anti-doping agency.
Juventus have not commented on the matter either, but could be forced to sideline Pogba after the findings of the test. The player can take the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) or the National Anti-Doping Tribunal to further contest it. But, it is uncertain whether the appeal would overturn the decision and even if it would, whether the player even intends to do so.
