Pablo Mari will be joining Serie A club Monza on loan for the 22/23 season. The player spent the latter half of last season on loan at Udinese. And now, he will be returning to the Italian league once again.

The deal will have an obligation to buy if Monza stay up in the top flight at the end of the campaign. This makes Pablo Mari the next player to leave the North London side after Lucas Torreira. The Uruguayan midfielder joined Turkish club Galatasaray on a permanent deal, after spending the previous campaign on loan at Fiorentina.

With Gabriel, Ben White and William Saliba at the club, it was unlikely that Pablo Mari would be getting much game time under Mikel Arteta. And now, the Spaniard might end up joining the Italian club on a permanent transfer after an inconsistent spell at Arsenal.

The Gunners have been able to trim their squad to a great extent over the last few transfer windows. And as a part of Mikel Arteta’s rebuild of the club, they are emerging as contenders to at least return to the Champions League this year.

Albert Sambi-Lokonga could be the next to leave the Emirates Stadium, with AC Milan keen on signing him. After a brief spell under Arteta, the former Anderlecht man could be moving on by the end of the window.
