About the update and ColorOS 12

The update downloads very fast if you have Wi-Fi and after it’s downloaded, you have to grant for the restart, after taking some time, ColorOS 12 gets applied after restart. It looks very subtle and there are a number of things I did like about this update, the personalization options are infinite here with a wide number of options to customize as per your needs.

From the new taskbar menu to the new icons, everything looks very subtle and changed, you have a lot of special features, new privacy settings and a lot more small tweaks that make the new ColorOS 12 more refined.

The new wallpapers are great and you now have a lot of them to apply, the revamped Settings page also looks great. On the other hand, new notifications have become much more materialistic as promised when Android 12 first arrived and the controls over them have got lot better as well.

Overall, with a lot of design tweaks, camera and performance improvements along with battery and privacy settings improvements, Android 12 is a totally refreshing feel over the Android 11, however, ColorOS 12 doesn’t give that core Android 12 vibes, still lot better now than what it used to be previously.
