Oppo Reno 12 series will be introduced later this month and will replace the current Oppo Reno 11 series. In China, the business has formally announced the release of the Reno 12 series. The official statement confirms the Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro and the design of the rear panel of the Reno 12 series appears to have a ‘silver’ finish. More official teasers are expected in the near future as the release of the Reno 12 series draws nearer. Oppo may also launch the Oppo Enco Air 4 Pro while it unveils the Reno 12 series.
The Upcoming Oppo Reno 12 Series
The Oppo Reno 12 series debuts in China on May 23 at 4 pm (1:30 pm IST). The teaser reveals a ‘silver’ theme for the handsets. Additionally, the company exhibited the rear panel designs of the smartphones. The Oppo Reno 12 phone arrives in a silver shade, and the Oppo Reno 12 Pro appears in purple. Both phones have a reflective shiny look and share an elliptical rear camera module in the top left corner.
The details aside, Oppo says little about the smartphones, but other social media posts indicate that the series will present “new innovative ways to click photos.” Moreover, the firm has also teased the Oppo Enco Air 4 Pro earphones on Twitter. The earphones are said to provide up to 44 hours of playtime. Although the date of the TWS earbuds is not officially confirmed, they could be accessible with the Reno 12 series launch.
According to the leaked specifications, the Oppo Reno 12’s base model could have a MediaTek Dimensity 8250 and the Pro model could have a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset. The former would have a 50MP triple rear camera setup, and the latter would have a similar setup without the unique sensors.
Furthermore, the Pro variant would have a 6.7-inch 120Hz 1.5K display, a 5,000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging, a 50MP front camera sensor, and a 50MP primary rear sensor, as well as a 50MP portrait sensor with 2x optical zoom downs. Earlier iterations, the Oppo Reno 11 5G and Oppo Reno 11 Pro 5G, were launched in India in January this year, priced at ₹39,999 and ₹29,999 respectively.
