OPPO’s next foldable smartphone, the Find N5, is set to debut as a leading contender in the first half of next year, potentially with no direct competition. It has since been confirmed from recent updates and reports, and the device has been spotted on the SIRIM, SDPPI, and Camera FV 5 certification databases. This is for the global variant of the device, and the launch for major international markets is also confirmed.

OPPO Find N5 Global Variant Surfaces on SIRIM, SDPPI, and Camera FV 5 Databases Ahead of Launch

OPPO Find N5 global variant (CPH2671) gets SIRIM certification in Malaysia, with the approved code being RGQL/22I/1224/S(24-5928) for the ‘Mobile Phone’ category, valid until December 30, 2029. Likewise, it will be certified in the SDPPI database of Indonesia with the certificate number ‘106682/SDPPI/2024’ and with the identifier PLG ID ‘6813. It’s believed that the device will come from a Chinese manufacturer.

The listing mentions important camera features in the Camera FV 5. The rear is a 12.6 MP sensor that uses pixel binning to create 50MP images. The front camera features a 7.1MP sensor with pixel binning that goes up to 28MP. Both cameras also feature support for Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). The rear lens has a focal length of 5.0mm with an f/1.9 aperture, and the front lens has a 1.9mm f/2.4 aperture. The predecessor, OPPO Find N3 launched in 2023 and came with a 48MP (wide) + 64MP (telephoto) + 48MP (ultrawide) rear camera setup and 20MP and 32MP front camera.

OPPO Find N5 could be showcased after the Chinese New Year/Spring Festival (January 29, 2025) which is likely around Q1 2025. Supposed features include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, ColorOS 15, ultra-flat triple 50MP cameras, 5700mAh battery, wireless charging, and an IPX8 rating about to withstand all but serious flooding and a lightweight and zero-crease hinge lightweight design. We are expecting more updates on the Find N5 as it gets closer to launch.
