OPPO has unveiled the processor details and key AI-network features of the OPPO F29 5G series ahead of their official launch in India on March 20th. The company previously disclosed the color options and configurations of the upcoming smartphones.

OPPO F29 5G, F29 Pro 5G Key Specs, AI Features Confirmed Ahead of March 20 India Launch
The OPPO F29 5G is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SM6450 chipset, which is the name given to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. This will allow the chipset to hit 650,000 AnTuTu V10 points. While the OPPO F29 Pro 5G will have the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy SoC with a promised Antutu score of over 740,000 points.
Both models will feature IP66, IP68, and IP69 dust and water resistance rating and a 360-degree Damage-Proof Armour Body. They will also be ushering in a new Hunter Antenna Architecture which places the low-frequency antennas vertically centered and horizontally symmetrical, generating a 300 percent boost in signal strength.
The smartphones will feature a 200mm fully wrapped antenna layout, covering 84.5 percent of the device’s borders. Additionally, they will be the first in their segment to support 4X4 MIMO technology across B40, B3, and B39 frequency bands.
The F29 5G and F29 Pro 5G come equipped with OPPO’s AI LinkBoost technology, which automatically fine-tunes network performance in real time. It can detect signal drops and instantaneously adjust connectivity to reduce gaming and browsing delays and interruptions. The technology will eliminate signal loss while gaming, the company says.
The OPPO F29 5G will be launched in Solid Purple and Glacier Blue while the Pro variant will launch in Granite Black and Marble White. The two models will come in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage versions while the Pro variant will also have 12GB + 256GB storage version. The standard model will house a massive 6,500mAh battery with 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging, whereas the Pro model will feature a 6,000mAh battery with a faster 80W SUPERVOOC charging solution. Additionally, both smartphones will support an underwater photography mode.
