Oppo A93 was all set to arrive globally on October 6 but Vivo’s Vietnam unit was unaware of it and they launched the A93 in Vietnam which basically revealed all the key specifications and also the Vietnamese price for that from which we can figure out the global prices.
Physically it looks very much like the Oppo F17 Pro and Reno4 Lite and internally it’s no different other than a downgraded 18W charging support.
On the front, there’s a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel with a pill-shaped cutout for the dual selfie cameras consisting of a 16-megapixel primary sensor and 2-megapixel depth sensor. There’s also an in-display fingerprint scanner for authentication purposes.
As far as internals are concerned, the A93 is powered by Mediatek Helio P95 coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded as well. The whole system is backed up by a 4000mAH battery which can be charged at 18W. Also, the long-gone headphone jack is present here. The A93 is 7.48mm is thick and weighs just 164 grams.
The Oppo A93 runs on ColorOS 7.2 on the top of Android 10. ColorOS is an android based skin that can be found on Oppo and Realme smartphones but Realme has tweaked down version of that known as Realme UI which. is quite different than the ColorOS.
There’s a quad-camera setup at the back which consists of a 48-megapixel along with an 8MP ultrawide shooter assisted by two 2MP depth sensors for portrait shots.
The Oppo A93 is available for VND 7,490,000 which converts to $324 for the base 8/128GB trim and is available in two colors – black and white.
Oppo A93 is due to launch in Malaysia next week on October 6, which was supposed to be the smartphone’s global introduction. Still, an early launch in Vietnam spilled all the beans, and now the only thing we might need to know is the exact pricing for the Oppo A93 and is there any other storage variant.
