Oppo will unveil the A5 Pro 5G on April 24 in India, and ahead of its official launch, the pricing of the smartphone has leaked. Globally, the new Indian variant will reflect the global version, which debuted earlier this year in certain markets, although this incarnation differs significantly compared to its Chinese counterpart, which was launched back in December 2024 in terms of design and specifications.

Oppo A5 Pro 5G to Launch in India on April 24 with IP69 Rating, 45W Charging, and MediaTek Dimensity 6300

According to a report from 91Mobiles Hindi, citing industry sources, the Oppo A5 Pro 5G will be priced at ₹17,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model, while the 8GB + 256GB variant will cost ₹19,999. The Indian variant will be rated waterproof and dustproof with an IP69 rating, and feature a ‘durable 360-degree armour body’ that can bear the brunt of falls, according to Oppo. It will come supplied with a big 5,800mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.

Across the world, MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset powers the Oppo A5 Pro 5G, up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage. The Oppo A5 Pro 5G manages to run smoothly. It works on ColorOS 15.0 based on Android 15. As for camera specifications, the global version of the device also comes with a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 2MP secondary sensor.

For selfies, there’s an 8MP front camera. Display features a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD with 120Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. In comparison, the Chinese variant of the A5 Pro 5G comes with a Dimensity 7300 chipset, a 16MP selfie camera, a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen, and a 6,000mAh battery supporting up to 80W wired charging. Despite the differences, the Indian version still appears to offer a well-rounded feature set at a competitive price.
