Lately, a known leaker named Steve Hemmerstoffer also known as @onleaks, shared images of the Oppo A3 Pro 5G smartphone. Following this leak Oppo has officially announced the launch date of the A3 Pro 5G in China and has revealed its design and color options.
The Upcoming Oppo A3 Pro
Oppo made it public through their Weibo account that the new Oppo A3 Pro smartphone is set to be released on April 12 at 2:30 PM time in China. Prior to the A3 Pro launch event, Redmi plans to unveil its Redmi Turbo 3 on April 10 while Realme’s sub-brand will introduce its GT Neo 6 SE smartphone on April 11.
Apart from disclosing the launch date Oppo also unveiled three color variants for the Oppo A3 Pro; Azure, Yun Jin Powder (rose), and Mountain Blue. The Azure model will feature a glass finish whereas the Yun Jin Powder (rose). Mountain Blue versions will come with a vegan leather.
Although detailed specifications and features of the device are scarce, at this point we do have information that it will have dimensions of 162.7 x 74.5 x 7.8 mm and will feature a 6.7-inch display. The front of the phone will showcase bezels surrounding a located punch-hole camera. Before diving, into its potential we can look back to the Oppo A2 Pro that came before it.
Back in September 2023, the Oppo A2 Pro made its debut showcasing a 6.7-inch curved OLED screen boasting FHD+ resolution, a peak brightness of 920 nits, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Equipped with a Dimensity 7050 SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, it provided robust performance.
In terms of photography, it boasted a 64-megapixel primary sensor alongside a 2-megapixel portrait sensor, complemented by an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Powering the device was a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. Additionally, it launched with Android 13 OS-based ColorOS 13.1 out of the box and featured Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6, and IP54 water and dust resistance.
