OnePlus Nord

OnePlus started off by only associating itself with flagship phones. It launched one flagship a year and made sure it offered a bang for the buck, however, down the road the company decided to diversify and dipped its toes into the mid-range market, and rightly so as it experience a good amount of success here as well.

Today, the Nord Series is one of the most successful lineups of OnePlus as it offers mid-range smartphones with near-flagship caliber specifications.

The Nord brand will be a separate division of OnePlus:

TheMobileIndian reports that the Chinese device maker is looking to expand its mid-range presence in the markets even further. The Nord CE 2 and the Nord CE 2 Lite have both been launched recently and have been accepted well by the users. A source with knowledge of the matter now claims that the next strategy to grow in the mid-range segment is by having OnePlus separate the Nord from a mere lineup to an entire sub-division.

This would mean that we will lead the brand in line with other Chinese OEMs such as Oppo with Realme, Vivo with iQOO, and Xiaomi with POCO. Nord is likely to be treated as a standalone company and it will have its own unique tag, stores, and an exclusive team dedicated to developing only products relating to this.

Though the branding will be different, it will feature the words, “from OnePlus” or “a OnePlus brand” in some places which means the affiliation with OnePlus will be made public.

Looking at the supposed branding, we expect a light blue as the theme color as opposed to OnePlus’ standard red color. The new Nord branding will continue to focus on offline channels and will build a solid presence online as well. The Nord lineup will include smartphones, TWS earbuds, Bluetooth neckbands, power banks, and other lifestyle devices.
