OnePlus Pad 3 Launches Globally on June 5 with Snapdragon 8 Elite

OnePlus has announced the global launch of its Pad 3 tablet, scheduled for June 5, with availability confirmed across North America, Europe, and the UK. The company has revealed that the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It will have support for Open Canvas, a multitasking option that can run up to three apps at once in split-screen. The date at which the tablet will be released in India is not yet confirmed by the brand; the issue will be cleared soon after the global release of the tablet.

The OnePlus Pad 3 is said to be a rebranded variant of the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro that was introduced in China last month. Based on its Chinese counterpart’s specifications, the Pad 3 could offer up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It’s reportedly going to have a 13.2-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 3.4K, a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 900 nits. It could also contain Dolby Vision HDR, which can improve the quality of visuals on platforms with such support.

It may offer a 13MP camera at the back and an 8MP camera for video calls and selfies. The tablet will reportedly be powered by a 12140mAh battery with 67W fast wired charging support. Other possible connectivity options could be Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC.

On the software side, the Pad 3 is expected to ship with OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15. It may also come preloaded with a suite of AI features introduced recently by OnePlus. With high-end specs and productivity-focused features, the Pad 3 aims to compete with flagship tablets in the global market, offering users a balance of performance, display quality, and multitasking support in a premium Android tablet experience.
