While thicker than its predecessor, the OnePlus Open 2 has a larger yet slimmer overall build as well. The device is also said to measure just 10mm on the thickness front, down from the Open’s 11.7mm, which could make it the slimmest folding phone around when it arrives. The most important upgrade, however, is the IPX8 water resistance rating, which is a bump compared to the OnePlus Open’s IPX4.

The device comes with new multitasking and AI features and could feature 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage with OxygenOS 15-based platform based on Android 15.

The rear camera setup is expected to feature three 50MP lenses: a main camera, an ultrawide sensor, and a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The front cameras may include a 32MP sensor and a 20MP sensor. The phone could also be equipped with a 5,900mAh battery, supporting 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
