More About the OnePlus Open 2

According to the reports, the launch of the OnePlus Open 2 will be delayed, depending on the information received from sources. Reportedly, OPPO’s parent company, OnePlus, is not launching the Find N5 smartphone until this fall, and supporters of groupthink, OnePlus Open, can only see such a future. Since the OnePlus Open was introduced as the global iteration of the OPPO Find N3, the absence of a successor to the latter implies a potential hiatus for the OnePlus Open series.

Typically, OnePlus devices for global markets, including India, are rebranded OPPO models initially exclusive to China, a strategy employed with the OnePlus Open. Subsequent rumors suggest a prospective launch date for the OnePlus Open 2 in 2025, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship processor anticipated to debut in October this year. Despite the delay, the incorporation of the latest chipset may justify the extended wait for the OnePlus Open 2.

Recapping the specifications of the OnePlus Open, it boasts a 7.82-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 2,800 nits. Moreover, it is equipped with a 6.31-inch 2K AMOLED cover display having a similar refresh rate. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset powers the device with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

It has a virtual RAM support of 12GB. As for the rear camera, it contains three sets the 48MP primary camera, the 64MP 3X telephoto zoom camera, and the 48MP ultra-wide camera, and the front camera is a 32MP one present on the cover screen Allosphering, 2022. Moreover, a 67W fast charging supports the 4805mAh battery. The device runs on Android 13-based OxygenOS 13.2.
