The OnePlus Nord CE 5 appears to be gearing up for launch, as the device has recently surfaced on the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) website in the UAE. Listed as CPH2719, the entry, dated April 28, doesn’t spill anything apart from the name and model number. But its appearance suggests an imminent launch, possibly within weeks or months.
OnePlus Nord CE 5 Listed on TDRA Website, Tipped to Launch Soon in India Without a Lite Variant This Year
The Nord CE 5 is believed to be the successor to the OnePlus Nord CE 4 that launched in India in April 2024 with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC and a 5,500mAh battery, and so, OnePlus will make a few improvements. The new device is said to have a 6.7-inch full-HD+ OLED display and comes with a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8350 SoC, if we talk about recent leaks. For the memory, the phone is expected to offer 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
In terms of optics, the Nord CE 5 is rumored to sport a dual rear camera setup, much like its predecessor. This includes a 50MP Sony primary sensor and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide lens.
For selfies, a 16MP front-facing camera is expected. A notable upgrade could be its massive 7,100mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging—significantly higher in capacity than the CE 4’s 5,500mAh unit. Interestingly, tipster Yogesh Brar has claimed that OnePlus will not launch a Nord CE 5 Lite variant this year.
The Nord CE 4 Lite 5G, which launched in India in June 2024, was the most affordable model in the Nord lineup, starting at ₹XX,XXX (price not disclosed in source). To recap, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 was launched in India for ₹24,999 (8GB RAM + 128GB storage).
It could come with an IP54 rating, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, and 100W SuperVOOC charging—features that helped position it as a strong mid-range contender.
