The OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G is the next one to be launched and it recently got approved by Malaysia’s SIRIM. The smartphone, which is associated with the model number “CPH2621,” obtained certification ranks as of May 24th, 2024 and it appears to be imminent launch in Malaysia.
The Upcoming OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G
The device has been spotted abroad on certifications like TDRA, IMDA, and BIS certification. The OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G will support NFC in addition to a hefty 5,500mAh battery backed by an insane 120W fast charging. Even with that, there’s a lot we still don’t know in terms of key specifications. But there are rumors of it being a rebranded Oppo A3.
Previous rumors have suggested the device could be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. It will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED high refresh rate of 120Hz is expected. The phone is also expected to feature a 50MP + 2MP + 16MP triple rear camera setup.
The software is likely to be Android 14 out of the box, with two OS upgrades and three years of security patches. Its predecessor, the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G was offered as a budget device and hence became quite popular due to pricing under ₹20,000 in India. If we go by this pricing, the Nord CE 4 Lite 5G is also expected to be priced aggressively.
In short, while we still do not know much about the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G other than the fact that it has been certified by Malaysia’s SIRIM; this suggests that the device should be launched in our market soon. It is expected to include NFC support, fast battery charging capabilities, and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC under the hood along with affordability akin to its predecessor, it is poised to make an impact in the mid-range smartphone segment upon its release.
