OnePlus is making preparations to release two new smartphones in the Nord series in India. The company has officially announced that it will unveil the Nord 3 and the Nord CE 3 5G on July 5 in the country. Among the two devices, the Nord CE 3 5G will be positioned as the more budget-friendly option.
As the launch date approaches, OnePlus has been teasing various aspects of the mid-range smartphone. After unveiling the rear panel design, OnePlus has now offered a sneak peek into the performance unit details of the Nord CE 3 5G through its latest teaser. It is highly likely that OnePlus will be introducing the first smartphone in India featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G SoC. OnePlus Nord CE 3 5G Known Specs
The OnePlus Nord CE 3 5G is expected to be priced at around ₹25,000 in India, positioning it as one of the upcoming mid-range smartphones. The official confirmation from OnePlus mentions that the Nord CE 3 will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G SoC. Built on a 6nm fabrication process, this chipset boasts a claimed 5% improvement in CPU performance over the Snapdragon 778G+ SoC. It operates at a peak clock speed of 2.7GHz and includes an Adreno 642L GPU.
The device features a flat frame design complemented by a slightly curved rear panel. On the back, there are two cutouts to accommodate the triple-camera setup. The top cutout houses a single sensor, while the second cutout accommodates the other two sensors. Adjacent to the camera sensors, there is an LED flash module.
The recent leaks have suggested that the device will sport a tall 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display. The display is flat and supports a 120Hz refresh rate, offering up to 950 nits of brightness. In terms of the camera setup, the Nord CE 3 5G is rumored to feature a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), similar to the flagship OnePlus 11 5G. It is also expected to have an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 112-degree field of view and a 2MP macro sensor. The rear camera is rumored to support 4K 30fps video recording.
Additionally, the smartphone is likely to offer up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and features such as RAM-vita, HyperTouch, and HyperBoost. OnePlus is said to pack a 5000mAh battery into the Nord CE 3, which will likely come with 80W fast charging support out of the box.
