OnePlus Nord 5G was one of the best initial 5G smartphones launched in 2020. It was a hit among the upper mid-tier smartphones. The mid-range smartphone from OnePlus was one of the best selling smartphones in its category and OnePlus has also launched the Nord 2.
I own the 12+256GB version of the OnePlus Nord 5G, and it has been great in almost every aspect. Initially, it was launched running on Android 10, but around March 2021, it got an update for Android 11.
Now, OnePlus has pushed the latest Android 12 update for the Nord with the Oxygen 12.1 update. The Android 12 update is around 4000 MB.

In this update the following things have been improved or changed:
Security
- [Updated] Android security patch to 2022.04
System
- [Fixed] the issue of abnormal Touch sounds
- [Fixed] the issue of abnormal boot animation
Voice
- [Fixed] the occasional issue that unable to start “OK Google” with voice
Must-knows
- Updating the system will not delete or modify your data. For security, it is recommended to back up your data before starting the update. Please also make sure you have sufficient space for the update.
- If you encounter any problems when using the new version, please contact our customer service.
- The update package will be deleted after being installed.
Apart from these changes, many new things have also been added to this Android 12 with Oxygen OS 12.1 update.
RAM expansion feature has also been added. When enough storage space is available, you can use part of it to expand your RAM.
OnePlus has also added some special features like an improved Shelf and a new Work Life Balance.
