OnePlus has introduced the [OnePlus N6](https://www.oneplus.in/) smartphone to the Indian market, positioning it within the sub-₹25,000 segment. The device features an 8,000mAh battery, which the company describes as segment-leading, alongside a 120Hz display and OxygenOS 16. Its design draws inspiration from OnePlus’s flagship models, aiming to offer a balance of battery longevity, performance, and aesthetics.

OnePlus Extended Battery and Charging Capabilities

The OnePlus N6 is equipped with an 8,000mAh battery, designed to offer prolonged usage. OnePlus reports that the battery can last up to three full days with light usage, 12.8 hours of gaming, 35 hours on social applications, or 24 hours of YouTube playback. Standby time is cited at 906 hours.

For charging, the N6 supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging, allowing the device to reach 50% charge in 47 minutes. A five-minute charge can provide up to two hours of video playback. Additional features include Night Charging Mode, which regulates charging speed overnight to preserve battery health, and Bypass Charging, which routes power directly from the adapter during intensive tasks, helping to manage heat. The phone also offers 5W reverse charging.

OnePlus emphasizes battery longevity, stating the N6 maintains over 80% of its original capacity after 1,600 full charge cycles, backed by a 7-Year Battery Health guarantee. The device includes four layers of safety protection against extreme temperatures, overcharging, drops, and compression.

Flagship-Inspired Design and Robust Build

The N6 incorporates design elements from OnePlus’s flagship series, featuring smooth curves, a flat display, and rounded edges. Its rear panel is characterized by a distinctive square camera module. The device is available in Fresh Mint and Midnight Green finishes.

Durability is a key focus, with the N6 certified to MIL-STD-810H military-grade standards. It has undergone testing for extreme temperatures, salt corrosion, sand, dust, and multiple drops. The ArmorShell Protection System integrates reinforced corners, airbag cushioning, hardened glass, and an aluminum frame to protect against impacts from heights up to 1.8 meters. The smartphone also carries an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.

Performance and Software Integration

Running OxygenOS 16, the OnePlus N6 is projected to deliver sustained smooth performance for 60 months. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex processor, coupled with up to 12GB of Dynamic RAM for multitasking. To manage thermal performance during demanding tasks, the N6 includes a 5,300mm² vapor chamber cooling system, described as the largest in its segment, aimed at maintaining stable frame rates and consistent performance.

Display and Camera Capabilities

The device features a 6.8-inch, 120Hz display with a peak brightness of 1200 nits, intended to provide clear visuals and adequate visibility in various lighting conditions.

For photography, the OnePlus N6 includes a 50MP main camera and an 8MP front camera. Video recording is supported at 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second, with a Dual-View Video mode allowing simultaneous recording from both cameras. The camera software integrates several AI-driven editing tools, such as AI Perfect Shot for selecting optimal expressions, AI Unblur for motion clarity, AI Eraser for object removal, and AI Portrait Glow for skin tone enhancement.
