These can be disassembled to reveal an 11mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter, which should produce better audio overall.
The “MelodyBoost” drivers, as the firm refers to them, are said to deliver deep bass without being overpowering. To put it another way, you can hear each frequency in music without any of them being dominant.
The OnePlus Buds 2 Pro’s earbuds still resemble a stem, and the design has not changed. Fortunately, the construction does not suffer from this problem. There is a distinct dome and edge design, and OnePlus has chosen to use a crystal polymer diaphragm for each subwoofer dome.
The OnePlus Buds 2 Pro also features a silicon edge inside the woofer for the improved low-frequency response. To fine-tune the music even more, the earbuds will contain your typical set of equalizers.
There will be green and black versions of the new earbuds. The price and release date are regrettably still unknown, but as of this writing, these are solely intended for China, with a global release taking place next month.
