OnePlus and OPPO are merging together

Last year Pete Lau had taken on additional responsibility to oversee product strategy for both OnePlus and OPPO, and since then OnePlus has integrated some of its teams to work with OPPO for the betterment of the brand and capitalize on additional shared resources. With this advancement, the company has witnessed a positive impact and thus a decision has been made to further integrate OnePlus with OPPO.

Pete claims, “I’m confident that this change will be positive for our community and our users. With this deeper integration with OPPO, we will have more resources at hand to create even better products for you. It will also allow us to be more efficient, for example, bringing faster and more stable software updates for OnePlus users.”

OnePlus will continue to operate independently, and OnePlus’ commitment to you remains the same. The company will continue launching its products under the OnePlus brand and will provide service independently. The company will continue holding events and mainly they are trying to say that OnePlus will remain as an independent band like before. The only change that occurred here is the integration with OPPO for sharing resources to create better products.
