The imminent release of the OnePlus Ace 3 in China, serving as the successor to the OnePlus Ace 2, has been widely anticipated. Despite the absence of official confirmation from the company, numerous leaked details about the upcoming device have surfaced online in recent weeks. There are indications that the model may also be launched globally under the name OnePlus 12R, succeeding the OnePlus 11R. Previous leaks have suggested similarities in display features between the OnePlus Ace 3 and the OnePlus 12.
The Upcoming OnePlus Ace 3
According to the latest information from tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus Ace 3 is expected to boast a 6.78-inch BOE X1 8T LTPO curved display with a resolution of 1.5K (2,780 x 1,264 pixels). Noteworthy specifications include a global peak brightness of 1,600 nits, peak local brightness of 4,500 nits, and a PWM dimming rate of 2,160Hz. The tipster also emphasized the device’s glass body and metallic middle frame, along with color options of blue, grey, and pink.
Additional insights from tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) suggested the inclusion of a green color option for the OnePlus Ace 3’s global variant. Reports further speculate that the device, anticipated as the OnePlus 12R outside China, will mirror the features of its Chinese counterpart.
Previous leaks have hinted at the OnePlus Ace 3’s potential features, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a robust 5,500mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging support, and compatibility with Android 13. The device is expected to offer configurations with up to 16GB of RAM.
Camera specifications, as per various leaks, include a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) support, an 8-megapixel sensor featuring an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 32-megapixel telephoto shooter on the rear. The front camera is speculated to be a 16-megapixel unit.
It’s worth noting that the OnePlus 12 was recently introduced in China, featuring a 6.82-inch quad-HD+ LTPO OLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, a substantial 5,400mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging support.
