Should You Buy OnePlus 15R?
Yes, if you want maximum value. The 15R undercuts OnePlus 15 by ₹15,000 while delivering 95% of the experience. Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 handles everything smoothly, the 7,400mAh battery outlasts competitors, and the 165Hz display matches the flagship’s smoothness.
Performance: Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 may sit below the Elite Gen 5, but real-world differences are negligible. Gaming at 165fps, multitasking, and heavy apps run without fuss. The 360° Cryo-Velocity Cooling System manages thermals excellently during extended sessions.
Battery Life: The 7,400mAh silicon nanostack battery delivers exceptional endurance—easily 1.5-2 days moderate use. While 80W charging trails the 15’s 100W, topping up in under 50 minutes remains impressive.
Camera Quality: The 50MP Sony IMX906 primary camera matches OnePlus 15’s sensor, capturing similar results with OIS stabilization. The 32MP selfie camera with autofocus upgrades previous R-series models significantly, though the missing telephoto lens limits zoom capabilities.
Display Excellence: The 6.83″ 1.5K AMOLED panel features 165Hz refresh rate, 3,200Hz touch sampling, and 1,800 nits peak brightness. While using LTPS instead of LTPO sacrifices battery efficiency, the visual experience remains top-tier.
OnePlus 15R vs OnePlus 15
The ₹15,000 price difference buys you: LTPO display (1-165Hz vs 60-165Hz), Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (marginal performance boost), triple cameras with telephoto, 100W+50W wireless charging, and slightly premium build materials. Most users won’t miss these upgrades.

₹3,000 HDFC Bank discount (effective price: ₹44,999), free OnePlus Nord Buds 3 (₹2,299 value), 180-day replacement warranty, lifetime display warranty, and 6-month no-cost EMI.
