Upcoming OnePlus 13R Expected to Launch in Early 2025

Launch dates for OnePlus devices are still a long way off for now, and so the OnePlus 13R may land sometime in the first half of 2025. However, since the OnePlus 12R made its debut in January 2024, a 13R for the early part of 2025 would be more likely.

Awaiting more details on the exact launch date, leaks have already suggested the key specifications of the device while also hinting at a price range in the Indian market.

OnePlus 13R Expected to Launch in Early 2025 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Competitive Pricing

The OnePlus 13R is said to be a rebranded OnePlus Ace 5, one of OnePlus’s common tactics since Ace models would usually launch globally as OnePlus R series models. Leaks from the Ace 5 provide a glimpse into the specs we might see for the OnePlus 13R, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, similar to the previous model’s use of an earlier-generation Snapdragon chip.

On the storage end of the spectrum, the OnePlus 13R is expected to arrive with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and as much as 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Details on the screen are scant, but it may have a 6.78-inch LTPO panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of cameras, the OnePlus 13R is likely to include a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel sensor on the rear, while a 16-megapixel front camera could handle selfies.

The device is expected to house a 6,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging, and OnePlus is anticipated to include a charger in the box. The OnePlus 13R is estimated to be priced between ₹40,000 and ₹45,000 in India, with a possible price increase over the ₹39,999 launch price of the OnePlus 12R. The Realme GT 7 Pro, which will soon launch in India with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, is expected to be priced under ₹50,000, and OnePlus may aim to keep the 13R’s price below ₹45,000 to stay competitive with other flagship options like the iQOO 13.
