The upcoming OnePlus 13 is rumored to be one of the first top-tier smartphones with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, and benchmarks based on early preliminary performance suggests that it could be a formidable flagship containing both strong single-core and multicore scores.

Adding to the list of advantages, the OnePlus 13 could be ahead of competitors in terms of RAM as well multiple leaks about this device hinted at a 24GB LPDDR5X support. If generative AI continues to expand, it is also a better idea to include more RAM because the on-device AI-related improvements are often memory-heavy and use gar-compliant features.

Leaks About the OnePlus 13

Although earlier reports suggested that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 may come with LPDDR6 RAM. Digital Chat Station also recently clarified things on Weibo saying that the OnePlus 13 series will come with 24GB LPDDR5X RAM, which would be one of only a few upcoming devices to incorporate so much memory. The start of the year has also seen 24GB RAM Android smartphones from more brands, like the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro and ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro, probably aimed at bragging rights rather than real-world needs.

This is why the smartphone manufacturer of today switch to focus on delivering RAM limits as high as they can, inside their flagship smartphones and high-end budget/entry versions. After years of saving its premium version at 12GB, even Samsung is expected to implement 16GB RAM in the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra. Furthermore, there are also rumors that 20GB RAM is normal for top-rank phones to easily operate applications using AI.

But on the flip side, we still don’t know whether the base model of the OnePlus 13 lineup is to get a standardized 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM or if there will be a cheaper 16GB onefügig. At the very least, it looks like a great flagship on tap for next year that will feature an always-class-leading Snapdragon core with up-to-date memory specs—an excellent start for the OnePlus 13 to compete in the high-end smartphone space.
