OnePlus 13 Performance Leaked: Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Outperforms A18 in Early Geekbench 6 Tests

The OnePlus 13 is due next month, and as that launch approaches, we are starting to see a few performance tidbits pop up. The phone will apparently be taken through its paces using a number of benchmark applications in order to assess how it performs. Geekbench 6 initial results are in, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 has emerged at the top of smartphone chipsets beating out even Apple’s A18 silicon that is used inside both iPhone 16 models. Even with the throttling, this new Qualcomm chip demonstrates a sizable performance advantage over last year’s A17 Pro.

Leaks About the OnePlus 13 Performance and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4

Though we were not able to find the results directly in Geekbench’s database, leaker Digital Chat Station shared a screenshot showing Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 scores when coupled with the forthcoming OnePlus. The results underscore the chipset’s impressive capabilities. The phone is equipped with 16GB of RAM and features a CPU cluster configured as ‘2 + 4’. Notably, the performance cores operate at an impressive 4.32GHz, which exceeds the A18’s 4.04GHz limit.

In single-core performance, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 scored 3,236, which is slightly lower than the A18’s score of 3,409. Multi-core situation is however a different case. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 managed a score of just over 10,000 which is some 18% better than the updated multi-core results from an A18 and more impressively still it manages that while being almost big % ahead of even the current iPhone15 Pro Max with its modified A17. Don’t forget that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 was already running to its full power, revealing why it achieved such scores.

While these are exciting findings, readers should view such information carefully. Geekbench 6 results are easy to cheat, and we will have to wait for the OnePlus 13 official launch before anything can be said about the performance.
