Unveiled in China, this flagship phone, serving as the successor to the OnePlus 11, is poised to enter international markets, including India, in 2024. The latest iteration boasts significant upgrades likely to captivate a wide audience. The OnePlus 12 showcases a new flagship chipset, an enhanced camera system reminiscent of the OnePlus Open, an enlarged battery, a high-quality display, and more. Let’s delve into the details of the new OnePlus phone, exploring its specifications and pricing.

OnePlus 12 Specifications, Features, and Pricing

The flagship phone boasts a 6.82-inch QHD+ 2K OLED display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate. This display incorporates LTPO technology, dynamically adjusting the refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz based on on-screen content. Notably, the screen achieves a peak brightness of 4,500nits, marking it as the brightest display in the industry. Additional features include support for Dolby Vision, 10Bit Color Depth, ProXDR, and 2160Hz PWM dimming. Retaining the design of the OnePlus 11, the new phone is introduced in various colors.

Driving the OnePlus 12 is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, complemented by the latest LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage solutions, promising enhanced speeds. The device incorporates a Dual Cryo-velocity Cooling system, optimizing cooling surface area, cooling material, and structural design to elevate the gaming experience.

In the realm of photography, the OnePlus 12 showcases a triple camera system. This setup includes a 50-megapixel LYT808 Sony sensor, a 64-megapixel OV64B sensor with a 3x periscope telephoto camera, and a third camera, a 48-megapixel IMX581 ultra-wide camera. Notably, this camera arrangement mirrors that of the OnePlus Open smartphone.

The OnePlus 12, recently launched in China, starts at CNY 4,299 (approximately ₹50,700). However, the Indian market can anticipate a higher cost, likely exceeding ₹60,000, considering the OnePlus 11 was priced at ₹56,999. This price adjustment is attributed to the advanced features incorporated into the OnePlus 12. The phone will be available for purchase in China starting December 11, 2023.

While the exact launch date is undisclosed, the company has confirmed the global availability of the OnePlus 12, including in India, in early 2024. Leaks hint at a potential OnePlus 12 India event on January 23, although official confirmation is pending.
