Just ahead of its official unveiling, images showcasing the OnePlus 12 have surfaced online. Previous information had already indicated that the smartphone would be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a triple camera setup housed in the distinctive circular camera module. The leaked renders have now provided a glimpse of the overall design, featuring a punch-hole display on the front and a bezel-less screen.
All About OnePlus 12 Hands-On
An image of the OnePlus 12 in its green color variant has been shared by Indian leaker Shishir, courtesy of Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station. The photo reveals the front panel, displaying the lock screen with a shiny green stone wallpaper. Positioned in the top left corner are the time and date, while a sizable fingerprint scanning area is located toward the bottom. Additionally, there are a couple of shorts in the bottom corners.
The image also hints at slightly curved edges on the smartphone, offering a more comfortable grip without the aggressive curvature seen in some other models. It’s worth noting that the OnePlus 12 will come with a 6.82-inch QHD+ BOE X1 display, which, given its size, makes the subtle curvature beneficial for ease of handling.
Shishir shares insights about the screen specifications, revealing that the OnePlus 12 will feature an LTPO screen with a variable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. The display boasts a resolution of 550 pixels per inch and 2,160Hz PWM dimming. Notably, the smartphone achieves a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, surpassing other flagship models on the market, including the Galaxy S23, upcoming iQOO 12, and Pixel 8 series.
As for the launch date, the OnePlus 12 is set to debut in China on December 5, 2023, and is expected to be available globally, including in India, around December 23 or December 24, as per recent reports.
