The imminent release of the OnePlus 12 is certain, as officially announced by the company during the BOE conference event in China. During the event, where they introduced their latest OLED screen technology set to go into production, OnePlus revealed key details about the OnePlus 12, including its display and chipset specifications, and offered a first look at the flagship device.
The Upcoming OnePlus 12 Specifications
Although the phone’s design was not fully unveiled at the event, several OnePlus 12 models were on display, primarily to showcase the upcoming phone’s display capabilities. The back camera module was concealed by a case, indicating the company’s intention to keep the design under wraps until the official launch event. On the rear side, there was a noticeable square camera bump and an alert slider on the right of the phone, with thin bezels framing the display. The volume and power buttons were positioned on the opposite side. The front featured a punch-hole display design, consistent with previous models, but further design details are yet to be disclosed.
Regarding the display, OnePlus claimed that the OnePlus 12 will feature an “Oriental Screen” and be equipped with OPPO’s first-generation display chip, Display P1, as well as a high-precision pixel-level calibration algorithm to enhance image quality, increase brightness, and reduce power consumption. The flagship phone earned a DisplayMate A+ certification and supports 2K resolution. Although the screen size remains unspecified, the images hinted at a continuation of the OnePlus 11’s 6.7-inch LTPO display, in line with previous leaks.
The display is said to offer a peak brightness of 2,600nits, slightly lower than the OnePlus Open, which boasts 2,800nits. Nevertheless, the OnePlus 12 will provide a brighter display than recent flagship phones launched in India. OnePlus also claims that this screen will have more than twice the lifespan of typical phone displays and will deliver the “most eye-protective” screen experience.
The OnePlus 12 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, as officially confirmed during the event, corroborating earlier leak claims about the display and chipset. Additional details about the upcoming flagship phone are yet to be unveiled by OnePlus, and the official launch date remains undisclosed.

As per the leak, the device will be powered by a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Additionally, the post indicates that the phone will come with a 5,500mAh battery and support 100W wired charging. Regarding its camera setup, the handset is anticipated to feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera on the rear. It is also rumored to come equipped with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.
