Omaxe has officially announced that a key stand at its upcoming cricket stadium in The Omaxe State, Dwarka Sector 19B, will be named the Harmanpreet Kaur Stand — also known as the Pink Stand. The announcement was made at the project site with Harmanpreet Kaur and Omaxe MD Mohit Goel in attendance, marking a historic first for Indian cricket.
What the Harmanpreet Kaur Stand Actually Looks Like
This isn’t a symbolic name on a plaque. The Pink Stand is a fully conceptualised, inclusive space designed in direct consultation with Harmanpreet Kaur herself — making it one of the most athlete-informed stands in Indian stadium history.
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Stand Location | North (Pavilion) Lower Bowl |
| Seating Capacity | 1,500+ seats |
| Total Stadium Capacity | 30,000 seats |
| Project Size | 50+ acres, Dwarka Sector 19B |
| Total Investment | ₹2,500 crore approx. |
| Stadium Partner | Delhi Development Authority (DDA) |
The stand occupies some of the best seats in the house — close-up, elevated views of the field — and is designed as a dedicated, welcoming space for women and families attending live cricket.
A Recognition That Goes Beyond Naming Rights
Omaxe had first appointed Harmanpreet Kaur as brand ambassador ahead of India’s historic ICC Women’s World Cup triumph in 2025. With this stand naming, she becomes the first woman cricketer in India to have two stadium stands named after her — a milestone that reflects both her personal legacy and the rising stature of women’s cricket nationally.
Mohit Goel, MD of Omaxe, shared that the stadium is also being designed with India’s long-term ambitions in mind — including potential hosting of the Olympics, FIFA tournaments, Paralympics, and Commonwealth Games — with dedicated dressing rooms, washrooms, and support facilities for women and para-athletes built into the design from the ground up.
The Omaxe State: More Than Just a Stadium
Beyond cricket, The Omaxe State is shaping up as India’s first 5-in-1 sports and lifestyle destination — combining a 30,000-seater stadium, a 55,000 sq.mt. indoor-outdoor sports centre, 48,000 sq.mt. of retail, a 158-key five-star Gateway Hotel by IHCL, and a membership-based sports club for 3,000 members. AI-driven smart gates, 11 entry-exit points, and an underground hotel-to-stadium tunnel complete the picture.
