Okaya Electric Faast EV scooter to offer nearly 200KM of range on a single charge

The Indian electric vehicle market is hot right now, the top companies such as Ola and Ather identified the potential in the EV market and how it can be profitable to enter the sector and add it to their portfolio. The latest brand to do so is Okaya, a battery manufacturer who has now launched its own Electric scooter dubbed the Okaya Electric Faast.

No, that is not a typo, the name is indeed Electric Faast, and rather reasonably priced as well. The scooter retails at $1,200 or 89,990 INR. Okaya will pit its product against the Ather 450x, Ola Electric S1, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, and Bounce Infinity E1.

The scooter is available for pre-booking in India for a meager sum of 1,999 INR or $27. It will be up for booking at the nearest Okaya dealer or from the official site.

The Okaya Electric Faast was showcased at the EV Expo 2021 held in Greater Noida, Delhi, India. The scooter comes with 150-200KM of range even at its top speed of 60-70 kmph.

With this range, it is one of the longer-running scooters in the market. It utilizes a 4.4kW lithium phosphate battery which offers the claimed extended range.

It has LED lights on the front and also sports digital cluster DRLs, a combined braking system. It has a maxi-scooter style design that offers a bold look from the front. The Okaya Electric Faast’s build details, seat storage capacity, and other specs are not yet known.

We can expect to see it surface on the portal very soon. Okaya already has three electric vehicles under its belt. With the launch of Electric Faast, the company’s EV portfolio has expanded.
