OK, Let’s Get Divorced: A Poster That Says Everything Without a Word

Some posters shout their story. This one whispers it. The new key art for “OK, Let’s Get Divorced,” starring Kim Ji Suk and Lee Min Jung, captures a marriage quietly unraveling — and fans are already feeling the weight of it.

What the Poster Reveals

The image shows Baek Mi Young (Lee Min Jung) and Ji Won Ho (Kim Ji Suk) standing together against a snow-covered backdrop, yet gazing in opposite directions. Despite their physical closeness, their eyes never meet — a deliberate visual choice symbolizing the emotional distance defining their relationship. The tagline, “Determined to say goodbye to my entire past,” hints at grief that extends beyond the marriage itself, toward the shared memories the couple must now release.

The Story Behind the Split

Baek Mi Young and Ji Won Ho are co-CEOs of a wedding dress shop, an ironic backdrop given their own marriage is falling apart after seven years and repeated conflict. According to the production team, the winter setting and the characters’ subtle facial expressions were chosen specifically to capture the layered emotions — lingering attachment, resignation, and quiet grief — that come with choosing to end a long relationship. As proceedings unfold, the drama promises to explore how their bond keeps evolving even as they separate.

Why This Premise Resonates

Realistic divorce narratives have grown increasingly common in Korean television, moving away from melodrama toward grounded, relatable portrayals of relationship breakdown — echoing broader shifts in how modern television approaches marriage and separation as everyday, complex experiences rather than plot twists. Pairing that raw emotional territory with the visual irony of a wedding dress shop setting gives “OK, Let’s Get Divorced” a distinctive hook heading into its premiere.
