Barcelona have confirmed that they have agreed a deal for Raphinha with Leeds United. The Spanish side have offered a €58 million bid, which will be worth €68 million with add-ons.
The player will complete his medical for the transfer soon, and will be presented as a new signing for the club in the coming days. He had agreed a five-year contract with the club several months ago. But, matters became complicated due to Barcelona’s financial situation and Chelsea’s bid for him, which was accepted by Leeds.
Leeds United and Barcelona agree Raphinha transfer at last
The Brazilian has not linked up with his Leeds teammates since it was certain that he would be moving this summer. And now, it has been confirmed that he will be playing for the Culers in the coming season.
Whether or not Barca will be able to register Raphinha now that they have agreed a transfer remains to be seen. They have also signed Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie, and have also renewed the contract of Ousmane Dembele.
Barcelona will have to cut down on their wages and sanction several outgoings to be able to register all of their new signings. They are also expected to sign Robert Lewandowski as their next acquisition of the summer. However, they haven’t been able to match Bayern Munich’s valuation of the striker as of yet.
