Exam Hell Meets Demonic Possession — Lee Jun Hyuk’s SBS Occult Thriller “Excitatio” Just Dropped Its First Teaser and It’s Genuinely Terrifying

What if the pressure of Korea’s college entrance exams literally drove students to the brink of evil? That’s the chilling premise of SBS’s upcoming occult drama Excitatio — and the first teaser has just arrived to prove this is not one to sleep on.

What Is “Excitatio” About?

Excitatio is set inside Korea’s notoriously cutthroat college entrance exam culture — a pressure-cooker environment fueled by jealousy and raw ambition. When students at Seongnyeong High School become obsessed with their grades, they are lured by a mysterious stimulant that awakens dark supernatural abilities. As classmates begin dying one by one, exorcist priest Antonio (Lee Jun Hyuk) steps in — risking his very soul to stop the evil consuming them.

What Does the Teaser Show?

The teaser wastes absolutely zero time — it goes straight for the jugular. Blood-stained hallways. Students moving as if controlled by an unseen force. A priest standing alone against something ancient and monstrous.

Antonio’s voice cuts through the dread: “The exorcism ritual begins with watching the possessed.” It’s a line that sets the tone perfectly — calm, methodical, and deeply unsettling. The teaser builds to a crescendo with his vow to the evil spirit: “I will drive you out of that child’s body.”

This isn’t just a horror drama — it’s a sharp social commentary wrapped in supernatural terror. Using Korea’s exam culture as the breeding ground for demonic possession is a bold, clever creative choice that instantly sets Excitatio apart from anything on air right now.

Why Lee Jun Hyuk Is Perfect for This Role?

Fans who watched Lee Jun Hyuk in Love Scout know his emotional range. But stepping into the robes of a conflicted exorcist priest is an entirely different dimension — and if this teaser is any indication, he’s already fully inhabiting the role. The intensity in every frame is palpable.
