Nvidia reportedly delays the launch of its RTX 3060 Ti

Nvidia is the leading manufacturer of graphics modules. The cards manufactured by the company are the best in the market and have been seen for years. But things are changing, and the company’s biggest rival, AMD, has taken the lead. Advanced Micro Devices has launched several of its next-gen cards that seem to leave Nvidia’s latest innovation in the dust.

Owing to all this, Nvidia is still planning to release its RTX 30 series cards real soon. But according to sources, the company has allegedly postponed the launch of its upcoming GeForce RTX 3060 Ti till December 2nd. The graphics card was due to launch on November 17th.

On the other hand, this delay cannot be termed as postponement of any kind. It is merely because the company itself never officially declared the initial launch date of the RTX 3060 Ti.

According to sources, the RTX 3060 Ti will be a new upper mid-range graphics card under a 400 USD price tag. The graphics card is expected to feature the GA104 GPU along with 4864 CUDA cores, which is 1024 cores fewer than the RTX 3070. Apart from GPU modifications, the RTX 3060 Ti comes with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM at 14Gbps of speed. It is the same memory configuration which the GeForce RTX 3070 boasts.

The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is said to be faster than the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER. We already know that the RTX 3060 Ti matches the RTX 2080 Ti in terms of performance and will even surpass the RTX 2080 SUPER. If this is all true, then Nvidia could soon be releasing a powerhouse among graphics processors.

Nvidia will be launching its GeForce RTX 3060 Ti on December 2nd and is expected to be available in the retail stores. The company has also decided to release a Founders edition model of its RTX 3060 Ti as to whether it will move ahead with its plan remains to be seen.
