Amidst several leaks and rumors regarding Nvidia’s RTX 3000 series. But no other leaker is as active as Kopite when it comes to Nvidia. The leaker has now reported that Nvidia has plans to revive its GeForce RTX 3080 Ti card.

The rumor comes as a surprise because the company earlier stated that it had canceled the development of the RTX 3080 Ti SKU. It was announced almost two months ago, and the company indicated that it would move ahead with its plan of launching the RTX 3090. Since then, everyone believed that there was absolutely no reason for the graphics maker to continue with the RTX 3080 SKU, but the recent leak says otherwise.

According to sources, the recent rise in the company’s efforts comes due to its competitor. Advanced Micro Devices has recently showcased its Radeon RX 6000 series, and it is mind-blowing. The RX 6000 matches Nvidia’s high-end cards in performance.

All this has made Nvidia tackle its competitor. Hence the rumors might very well be true. According to the leaker’s tweet, the RTX 3080 Ti would feature the same CUDA core count as RTX 3090, which is reported to be 10496 cores. It means that the card will certainly not be on the cheap side.

20GB GD6X,
the same FP32 count as 3090, 10496FP32,
the same MEM speed and TGP as 3080,
no NVLINK.

The leaker has provided very detailed specs of the rumored SKU. The specs include the board and SKU numbers that are the PG133 SKU 15. The GPU that the graphics card will sport is codenamed the GA102-250.

With AMD soaring high with its graphics line-up, Nvidia needs to up its game to establish its dominance in the market. We already know that AMD’s ray-tracing feature is inching closer towards Nvidia’s very own in terms of 4K gaming performance. As to whether Nvidia’s RTX 3000 series be its homecoming remains to be seen.
