NVIDIA is rumored to launch its Next-Gen Gaming GeForce RTX 4090, RTX 4080, and RTX 4070 Graphics Cards in October

According to the latest report from Videocardz, NVIDIA’s next-gen gaming range, which includes the GeForce RTX 4090, RTX 4080, and RTX 4070 graphics cards, will ship in Q3 and Q4 2022. NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4090 will be released first, followed by the GeForce RTX 4080 and RTX 4070, according to leaker Kopite7kimi.

More evidence is now emerging that this schedule is accurate. According to prior rumors, the GeForce RTX 40 series launch event would take place in mid-July. This is merely an announcement, and the actual availability for each graphics card is expected between Q3 and Q4 2022.

·        NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Graphics Card – August 2022 Launch

·        NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Graphics Card – September 2022 Launch

·        NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Graphics Card – October 2022 Launch

The GeForce RTX 4090 will be the first to go on sale, followed by the RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 siblings. If you remember the debut of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series, you’ll recall that the green team also unveiled the trio of its Ampere cards, the RTX 3090, RTX 3080, and RTX 3070, on the same day. However, the launches were a few weeks apart.

The GeForce RTX 3080 was the first NVIDIA graphics card to hit the market, followed by the RTX 3090 and RTX 3070. Months later, the standard RTX 3060 cards arrived. NVIDIA is rumored to be focusing on its higher echelon of cards, such as the GeForce RTX 4090, this time.

We should expect the business to follow the RTX 30 series’ rollout timetable, with each launch occurring a few weeks apart. While the cards may be announced as early as July 2022, the RTX 4090 won’t be available until August, the GeForce RTX 4080 won’t be available until September, and the RTX 4070 won’t be available until October.

The GeForce RTX 4090 will be using Ada Lovelace GPUs

The RTX 4090, RTX 4080, and RTX 4070 are believed to use distinct Ada Lovelace GPU designs, with the RTX 4090 utilizing the top AD102 SKU, the RTX 4080 using the AD103 SKU, and the RTX 4070 using the AD104 GPU SKU. NVIDIA recently announced on its earnings call that demand for graphics cards in the crypto space had already dried up.

The PCB for the AD102 and AD103 GPUs is likely to be the same, PG139, however, the SKU will differ significantly, with the RTX 4090 utilizing the PG139-330 SKU and the RTX 4080 using the PG139-360 SKU. On the other hand, the RTX 4070 will be built on a completely new platform.

With numerous marketing initiatives, such as the ‘Restocked & Reloaded’ one we saw this month, the business has been attempting to reinvigorate interest in its GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards in the gaming industry.

This is most likely a last-ditch effort to ship as many RTX 30 GPUs as possible before moving on to the new GeForce RTX 40 series portfolio. Greymon55 also expects the GeForce RTX 40 series to be sold at MSRP, as opposed to the current lineup’s inflated costs.
