The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti from NVIDIA might maintain the same $399 US price as its predecessor, the RTX 3060 Ti. According to a DigiTimes report (via MyDrivers), NVIDIA is seriously thinking about lowering the price of its upcoming GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card to make it more enticing to gamers and end users. The poor public reception of the RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4070 graphics cards may be the cause of this.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti could be released for the same $399 US price as its predecessor.
Although the market at the time of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti’s launch was very different and dominated by scalpers and cryptocurrency miners, it launched at the same price. That isn’t the case anymore, and there is a good supply everywhere and all current-generation cards are available at or below their MSRPs.
According to rumours, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti should have 34 SMs or 4352 CUDA cores, 8 GB of GDDR6 memory running at 18 Gbps across a 128-bit bus interface, giving the card 288 GB/s of bandwidth, and the AD106-350-A1 GPU core, a scaled-down version of the full AD106 graphics chip. Additionally, the GPU has 32 MB of L2 cache, an 8x improvement over the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.
It appears that the performance of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card will be comparable to that of the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. The card will also operate at a TGP of roughly 150W, which will make it significantly more efficient than the 3070 Ti and enable faster Raytracing performance with the added benefit of DLSS 3.
In addition, the RTX 4060 Ti might revive ITX designs, which is entirely appropriate for such an effective chip. It is anticipated that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti card will be unveiled and released in May. There are also rumours that the price will be $450 US.
