Nvidia launched its affordable yet powerful GeForce RTX 3070 back in September 2020; however, getting it in your hands has been the most difficult job ever. But it seems availability isn’t stopping the GPU’s fame as in Steam’s latest Hardware Survey report, the new RTX 3070 is deemed to be the fastest-growing GPU.

As per the latest report, the RTX 3070 managed to grab the 17th-most popular graphics card position in the Top 20 list with a 1.29% share overall, and it’s increasing at a steady rate. The $499 GPU is a highly acclaimed affordable monster that, paired with NVIDIA benefits, is a perfect choice if you can get it at the right price.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 becomes Steam’s fastest-growing GPU

NVIDIA is ruling the GPU chart as its new RTX 30-series GPUs quickly make their place in the top 100. Both the GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3060 Ti has gained a healthy share, including 0.87% and 0.39%, respectively, whereas the flagship RTX 3090 holds a respectable 0.34% of the market.

This kind of share shows even though there’s a shortage of GPUs, in around 6 months of sale, NVIDIA has made a total of 2.89% Ampere cards in the Steam chart. If the demand, the supply shortages and scalpers won’t exist, a lot of gamers could enjoy these cards, although a lot of cards used for mining might never be made their way into Steam’s chart.

The worst part of this entire Steam Hardware survey is that there’s no sign of AMD’s new RX 6000 series GPUs, not a single one in the top 100, showing the company’s poor availability.
