The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Founders Edition (FE) graphics cards have vanished from the official NVIDIA web store. According to Cowcotland, the only way to obtain those cards is through third-party sellers who are not affiliated with the company. The GPUs are missing from the NVIDIA websites in the United States and France, which could indicate that the company has discontinued sales of the cards.
The sudden disappearance of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Founders Edition graphics card could be due to FE stock running out, and NVIDIA preferring to focus on AIB models, which are still plentiful on retail shelves.
Along with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Founders Edition graphics cards, some RTX 3080 graphics cards and mid-level GPUs are missing from listings, but this does not imply that the company has removed all traces from partnered retailers. Best Buy is said to still sell NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Founders Edition graphics cards, as well as RTX 3070 Ti Founders Edition graphics cards, but you must go to one of the retailer’s physical locations to purchase them.
With the prices of newer generation graphics cards dropping in recent months, this could be the start of NVIDIA silently replacing older cards with newer variants. especially the outgoing NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Founders Edition. We know that the company is working to introduce more mainstream models in the coming months, such as the RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 series, which will effectively replace the RTX 3070 and 3060 series of cards.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 will remain available in several SKUs and flavours for some time as there is still plenty of stock to be cleared out, but the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Founders Edition variants may be phased out soon.
