NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion and DRIVE ONE starts gaining some serious momentum with $11 billion Pipeline

BYD, the world’s second-largest electric car manufacturer, stated at NVIDIA GTC that its next-generation fleets will be built on the DRIVE Hyperion architecture. This platform, which is based on DRIVE Orin, is already in production, powering a diverse ecosystem of 25 EV manufacturers who are developing software-defined vehicles using high-performance, energy-efficient AI computation.

DeepRoute, Pegasus, UPower, and WeRide are among the innovative startups that have joined the DRIVE Hyperion community this week, while luxury EV maker Lucid Motors has announced that their automated driving system is built on NVIDIA DRIVE.

This burgeoning ecosystem adds up to an automobile pipeline worth more than $11 billion. The open DRIVE Hyperion 8 platform enables these businesses to tailor this programmable architecture to their own requirements, allowing them to leverage end-to-end solutions to speed up autonomous driving development.

The NVIDIA DRIVE Orin system-on-a-chip can manage up to 254 trillion operations per second (TOPS) and is designed to handle the enormous number of applications and deep neural networks (DNNs) that run in autonomous vehicles at the same time, while still meeting ISO 26262 ASIL-D safety standards.

DRIVE Hyperion and DRIVE Orin work together as the vehicle’s nervous system and brain, analysing huge amounts of sensor data in real time in order to safely perceive, plan, and act.
The transportation business is being disrupted by new energy vehicles. They’re presenting a new architecture that’s designed specifically for software-defined functionality, allowing for constant innovation and creative business models.

BYD is a pioneer in the field of new energy vehicles, having introduced the world’s first plug-in hybrid, the F3, in 2008.

The following year, the F3 became China’s best-selling sedan, and BYD has continued to push the boundaries of what is feasible for alternative powertrains, with more than 780,000 BYD electric vehicles on the road.

DeepRoute, a self-driving firm that builds robotaxis, has announced that DRIVE Hyperion will be integrated into its level 4 system. The company’s hopes to put production-ready vehicles to market next year rely heavily on the automotive-grade platform.

a self-driving car company On DRIVE Hyperion, Pegasus Technology is also creating intelligent driving solutions for taxis, trucks, and buses to operate effortlessly on congested city roadways. Its self-driving technology can handle lane changes, congested intersections, roundabouts, highway entrances and exits, and more.

With its Super Board skateboard chassis, UPower is focused to expediting the EV development process. DRIVE Hyperion, a next-generation foundation for electric vehicles, will enable automated and autonomous driving.
