The 22-year-old will be loaned to Marseille this season, and will follow in the footsteps of William Saliba from last season. The Frenchman was the best defender in Ligue 1 during his time with the club, and helped them achieve Champions League qualification as well.

Now, he is set to be included in Mikel Arteta’s squad while Nuno Tavares makes way for the time being. Kieran Tierney is the first-choice left-back, while Oleksandr Zinchenko can also play in that position. However, he might be used in midfield under Mikel Arteta instead.

Tavares has shown glimpses of his talent during his time at Arsenal. And in the coming years, he is expected to be a part of the first team. However, he will be playing for Marseille during the 22/23 season.
