Carl Pei backed Nothing just released their first smartphone, the Phone(1) and the brand has already begun to work on its next device. According to The Mobile Indian, the upcoming smartphone from the brand will be named the Phone(1) Lite and will be a slightly inferior version of the brand’s first device.
Nothing Phone(1) Lite rumored specifications:
The company has released its debut smartphone but it has not been an easy road as it has faced many logistic issues. Shipment delays and quality concerns have plagued Pei’s brand so it does come as a bit of a surprise that they are already moving on to launch another smartphone.
The Lite version will be similar to the original version, however, it will arrive without the LED layout that makes the smartphone stand out. This feature is called the Glyph interface and the Lite variant will also lack support for wireless charging but it could arrive with a 5,000mAh battery.
Apart from this, we could see it arrive with support for 33W charging and as per the report, the device could launch as soon as October in India.
The Nothing Phone(1) has a 6.55″ AMOLED Full HD+ display with a high refresh rate of 120Hz and it was powered by the Snapdragon 778+ paired with 8GB/12GB RAM versions and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. In terms of battery life, we see a 4,500mAh battery with support for 33W charging, and in the optics department, we see a 50MP+50MP dual-camera setup with a 16MP selfie shooter on the front.
The Lite version will retail under Rs.25,000 and following its release, the Phone(1) is likely to be priced at a significant discount. Keep in mind that these are all rumors as of now so do not be surprised if the brand decides to forego the Lite version altogether.
