For those considering a premium mid-range device, the OnePlus 13R, an affordable flagship from Carl Pei’s former company, naturally comes to mind as a competitor. Price and Design

The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro has a starting price of ₹29,999 for the base variant and goes up to ₹33,999 for the maxed-out model. While on the other hand, the OnePlus 13R is pricier with a starting price of ₹42,999. OnePlus also offers up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage in the OnePlus 13R compared to the OnePlus 13. In typical Nothing fashion, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro follows the company’s signature transparent aesthetic featuring the Glyph Interface, available in both Grey and Black.

It features an IP64 rating, a glass back, and weighs 211 grams. Available in Astral Trail and Nebula Noir, the OnePlus 13R is a flat design, boxy frame phone. It’s a tad thinner at 8mm and a bit lighter at 206 grams. All in all, with both devices weighing in similarly, there are differences that set the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro apart including things like the one-of-kind design, additional features like the Flip to Glyph function, and Essential Space action button.

Display and Performance

The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro comes with a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and 120Hz adaptive refresh rate with peak brightness of up to 3000 nits. OnePlus equipped the 13R model with a slightly bigger 6.78-inch ProXDR AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and 4500 nits peak brightness. It also has LTPO 4.1 tech, HDR10, and Gorilla Glass 7i to boot, which is why the pixel is the winner for display quality.

OnePlus 13R is equipped with the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, whereas the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro runs on a mid-range Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. The OnePlus 13R also offers more RAM and storage, making it the clear winner in this category.

Cameras, Software, and Battery

Both smartphones feature a 50MP main and 50MP telephoto camera with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. However, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro edges ahead with its 50MP front camera, while the OnePlus 13R has a lower-resolution selfie shooter. On the software front, both devices run Android 15, but the OnePlus 13R promises four major Android updates, whereas the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro offers three. In terms of battery, the OnePlus 13R dominates with a 6,000mAh battery and 80W fast charging, while the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro has a smaller 5,000mAh battery and slower 50W charging.
