Nevertheless, the phone will stick to a clock speed of, up to 2.8 GHz. According to Raymond Zhu, Nothings Product Marketing Manager, the company has improved the coordination between software and hardware with MediaTek to enhance power efficiency in parts like the display IC and modem. This enhancement makes the phone 10% more power efficient than the Dimensity 7200.

Equipped with up to 12GB of RAM and Booster technology that adds 8GB of RAM, the Dimensity 7200 Pro in Phone 2a is claimed to be 18% more powerful than its predecessor, Nothing Phone (1). Furthermore, it boasts a battery efficiency improvement of around 16% compared to Phone (1) which uses Snapdragon 778G SoC.

While Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and Snapdragon 782G SoC were under consideration for Nothing Phone 2a, they went for Dimensity 7200 Pro due to its performance and power efficiency as per the company statement.

Zhu also highlighted a Smart technology developed by their software team that regularly cleans fragmented files, for optimizing read and write speeds. This function is designed to keep the performance of Phone 2a, in its state even after extended usage. Moreover, the Phone 2a utilizes NTFS technology to facilitate file transfers between Windows and the device outperforming other smartphones, in this aspect.

Previously, purported renders of the Nothing Phone 2a were debunked as fake. However, recent CAD-based renders, courtesy of @OnLeaks, unveil dimensions of 162.2 x 76.5 x 8.7mm and a weight of approximately 188 grams. While initial leaks hinted at a starting price of €349 (around ₹31,075), the latest information suggests it may start at around ₹23,999, though it’s unclear if this includes any card offers.
