The Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition introduces the glow-in-the-dark “Phosphorescence” concept, developed by Astrid Vanhuyse and Kenta Akasaki in collaboration with Nothing’s Design Director Adam Bates and CMF Designer Lucy Birley. Using green-tinted phosphorescent materials, the phone emits a soft glow in dark spaces, enhancing aesthetics without drawing power. It reflects the core identity of Nothing, requiring only daylight to recharge.
Stage 2: Wallpaper Design
Digital artist Andrés Mateos created the unique “Connected Collection” wallpapers, expanding the collection to six unique designs. Collaborating with Nothing’s Software Design Director Mladen M Hoyss, these wallpapers blend AI with digital design, bringing even more personalization to the Community Edition.
Stage 3: Packaging Design

Stage 4: Marketing Campaign
Sonya Palma, the winner of the marketing campaign concept, crafted “Find Your Light. Capture Your Light,” a theme reflecting Nothing’s spirit of inner power and individuality. Working closely with Nothing’s Creative Team, Sonya developed compelling visuals, a film campaign, and digital assets to spotlight the Community Edition’s unique journey and launch.
