Following the launch of the Nothing Phone 1 and Nothing Phone 2 the upcoming Phone 2a is anticipated to be a range device that offers improvements over its predecessor.

Nothing recently revealed the name of their smartphone, Phone 2a in a newsroom update as part of their Community Update. A landing page has been set up on their website to give a sneak peek at the handset with a “coming soon” label. Interested customers can click on the “Notify Me” button to receive updates about its launch.
Although extensive details about the Nothing Phone 2a are not provided on the landing page Nothing assures that it has been diligently designed to enhance smartphone usage by focusing on essential user needs and incorporating Nothing’s expertise and craftsmanship. The handset, codenamed Aerodactyl will include features from years Nothing Phone 2 promising an upgraded experience compared to the model.
While an official launch date remains undisclosed speculations suggest that the introduction of the Nothing Phone 2a may take place at Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress event, in 2024.
The base model of the Nothing Phone 2a is expected to have a price tag of, around EUR 400 (₹37,000). It will come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Rumors suggest that there might also be a higher-end variant with 12GB+256GB configuration. Additionally, the phone is said to be available, in black and white color options.
According to previous leaks, the Nothing Phone 2a is anticipated to run on a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC, potentially featuring the Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5. The device is likely to boast a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Camera specifications include a dual rear setup with a 50-megapixel Samsung S5KNG9 primary sensor and a 50-megapixel Samsung S5KJN1 sensor for ultrawide shots. The phone is also rumored to feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera equipped with a Sony IMX615 sensor.
