Carl Pei’s startup, Nothing has announced that it will be debuting its first smartphone, the Phone (1) which is set to debut in the summer of 2022, this smartphone is now officially set to launch on the 12th of July at the ‘Nothing: Return to Instinct” event that will be held in London and live-streamed globally.

The Nothing Phone (1) will be made in India and launched sometime after the global launch:

Considering that it is the brand’s first smartphone, they are not taking it for granted, the company made an official statement claiming that “It’s our first smartphone and our most important product,” and the company has dubbed its launch event as an “invitation to unlearn everything the industry has taught us.”

As per reports, the phone is likely to launch on the 12th of July but it will be a while before you can get your hands on it. The phone will be made in India as per tipsters but it has not yet entered the production stage as the brand is uncertain as to how many devices to manufacture. There is a lot of uncertainty when it comes to the demand for this phone.

The made in India part should bring a sense of relief to Indian fans as it will reduce the costs, so far we know that the Phone (1) will pack a transparent back, an aluminum mid-frame, wireless charging support, and a Snapdragon 7 Gen1 chipset powering it.

Unlearn. Undo. Starting with phone (1).
