The Nothing ear(1) earbuds will be announced in the coming week as the first product from Nothing Inc., former OnePlus Co-founder Carl Pei’s latest brainchild. Ahead of the scheduled launch of the Nothing ear(1), the companion app for the buds has surfaced on the Google Play Store.

The app is listed as the “ear(1)- Nothing earbuds” and is 10MB in size, the description of the app says that this application is compatible with all devices running Android 5.0+ and above.

With this app, users can check the battery level of the earbuds and the case. It will also have a menu via which users can turn the features such as Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode on and off. They can also adjust the intensity of the features.

The app will also provide options to activate in-ear detection, turn the gesture on the earbuds on and off, switch the equalizer, and also last but not least, a find my device feature.

Users will also be able to update the firmware of the earbuds through this app.

The Nothing ear(1) earbuds will feature a transparent design and a matching transparent case, something we have never seen before. The earbuds’ performance will hopefully be as good as its aesthetics. It carries a price tag of $99(7,368 INR). It has ANC, transparency mode, up to 32 hours of battery life with the case, fast wired charging, and also support for wireless charging.
